Product Overview

Simple Battery-Operation

Add reliable protection in minutes. The First Alert SMI100 Battery-Operated Smoke Alarm is easy to install - no wiring required. The front access battery compartment also makes for easy battery replacements and a low battery warning will advise when it's time to replace. Discourage unwanted removal of the battery or alarm using the optional locking features.

Convenient Test Feature

Use the simple test/silence button on the front of the smoke detector to check that it is operating properly and silence false alarms. An end-of-life warning will alert you when it’s time to replace the detector because alarms don't last forever. See user's manual for information on how and when to test and replace alarms.
